The ChallengeRIV*sales are a new reseller of pre-owned luxury powerboats, with a specialisation in Riviera models. As a new business they needed a logo which would quickly identify who they are and what they do – and clearly position them as a premium retailer in the market. As a largely web-based business it was necessary that the web address be incorporated into the company logo. The company also wanted to include the asterisk in their name, pointing to their full name, Retailing Independently-owned Vessels. The logo would need to work on screens but also in printed form. The SolutionWe opted to use a three-dimensional, chrome metallic look for the logo. Overlaying this on a strong blue pallet achieved the high-quality edge the client was looking for. A simple, stylised boat was added to the logo to clearly identify the business’s focus. The metal and blue theme was carried forward into other aspects of the company’s advertising and stationery. |
