We created a range of original illustrations which could then be adapted for application onto the footwear. Colour ranges were kept within the limitations of the product while being matched with the colour of the plastic ‘thong’ part of the sandals.

This range of thongs went on sale in Coles supermarkets in the summer of 2009.

We produced a number of 3D graphics to illustrate the products and the wide variety of ways that they can be used. On the front panel, a series of linked images illustrated the unity of the range, while inside those same images were used in the descriptions of the individual products. The internal layout clearly distinguished the individual products from each other while also providing combined information about the range.

A heavy emphasis on photography was used to demonstrate the centres’ various services. This made the brochure easy to absorb, but it also helped it in the task of overcoming language barriers.

Subtle use of the colour scheme (as part of a broader artwork project) in the layout of the brochure allowed us keep the information clear and readable while avoiding any sense of clutter. This also provided the flexibility needed for the various language versions.
